On May 5th, 2012 Knuckle Rumbler will team up with long-time amigos Peligrosa All-Stars to bring you the biggest Cinco de Mayo fiesta your East Austin loving ass has ever seen. Come one, come all to break a piñata in the name of Mexican independence! The tequila will be pouring, the tacos will be piping hot, and the chicas will be smokin’!

We are going to occupy not one, but two venues to bring you a celebration muy grande y muy divertido. Bands will be featured in Hotel Vegas, DJs will be spinning the right tunes at the Volstead Lounge. In between bands check out the back yard to enjoy some excellent street food and partake in some fun and games. The “Moombah Fiesta” is a new compilation in a series of exclusive vinyl only Moombahton tracks from various artists and producers who are leading the sound of this new genre. This series will focus primarily on the Tropical Afro Latin side of the Moombahton sound. This first volume has a jam packed roster with seriously funky Moombahton aimed at the dance floor.

The 1st track is remix by Sol*Selectas label head Sabo, which takes a 8-ball tune by Javier Esrada and turns it into a deep tribal pre-hispanico Moombahton banger. The 2nd tune teams up Dutty Artz’s Chief Boima, and NYC Que Bajo’s Uproot Andy to remix a classic Kenyan song by Les Wanyika, which has been covered several times before, but never in such beat heavy Moombahton version as this!

Side B brings an undeniable Fela Kuti remix of the classic “Water No Get Enemy” by NYC’s Cousin Culo. This track has been making noise since last summer with every DJ asking for a vinyl copy. And lastly the Peligrosa crew from Austin Texas (Orion and King Louie) takes an Ismael Rivera acapella the duo found online somewhere, and turns it into a groovy Moombahton track perfect for sunny days on the playa.

“More Rambazamba” literally translated means “More Mayhem” (“Rambazamba” is a German word for
“stiring up”, “kicking up a fuss”). Ensuring instant dancefloor rage, the musical styles on this album
reflect on Haaksman´s DJ and production style: Always full of surprises, eclectic and high-powered,
yet with a gentleman touch. We hear on “More Rambazamba”, to quote Wayne & Wax blog author
Wayne Marshall, “creative reworkings of some time-honored Haaksman anthems” & “These remixes overflow
with polyrhythmic joy, bumping along with little regard for genre boundaries and in the process
creating even more space for winding waists — and tastes!”.

The list of remixers on “More Rambazamba” is hot and high-calibred. Highlights include: Berlin noise
master Jan Driver returning with his classic remix of “Hands Up” feat. Seguindo Sonhos, which also
got retouched by Paris hyphy don French Fries. Sound Of Sumo´s Kry Wolf laid Haaksman´s
“Carnival“ onto a bass heavy, UK groove, Estonia´s Bert On Beats reworked the bumpy cover version
of “Din Daa Daa“ in his trademark Kuduro inspired bass style. Big Dope P of Moveltraxxx sent the Rio
funk anthem “Rap Da Silva” to Chicago for a Juke examination. Hamburg´s So Shifty injected beefy
beats to “Bomba” feat. Roxxxy Bione, while Chrissy Murberbot put another Chicago infused rhythm
onto “Jesus” feat. Tati Quebra Barraco. And Urbs from Vienna remixed “Rap Da Silva” in classic JA
roots fashion.

Banginclude is a Brooklyn, NY based producer, DJ, and visual artist. He has a passion for all types of bass heavy party music and most recently has been getting some attention in the Moombahton scene. His moombahton tracks have been featured on blogs such as moombah-thong, moomba+, generation bass, and on compilations such as The New Wave of Moombahton Vol1 and Moombahdeep Vol1. He, is also a co-host of New York’s largest monthly electronic music showcase, the Warper Party.

This here Boombahchero mix incorporates ideas from tribal guarachero, moombahton, Kuduro and footwork (among others). Most of the Boombahchero tracks Banginclude has heard so far are at 140BPM. With these edits he wanted to play around w the tempo a bit to hear where the track fits in and locks in on the groove. So, tracks are between 133-141BPM.
