As you may have heard, Peligrosa is back in full force for our monthly third friday parties. As you can see in this photo by the Bar Bat it was most magnanimous!
Come Friday May 16th we again blow it out. We have a very special treat by two Peligrosa veterans. Although Dutty Atrz label head Chief Boima and Que Bajo member Geko Jones have both played Peligrosa, never have they played together and what’s even better is that they have a new project for you! Enter AFRICA LATINA.
For several years, Geko and Boima have been following and rearranging the lines that connect Africa and Latin America through their musical explorations. Their various musical meanderings touch on Champeta, Semba, Ndombolo, Morna, House, Kuduro, and neo-Highlife, Cumbia, Porro, Puya and many other genres that take you on a ride through the contemporary African manifestations of Latin music.
On their latest journey they take us to Suriname as they bring the spirit of Africa in the Amazon to the clubs.
Now that you KIND OF have an idea of what the vibes will be let’s get into the party info.
