Takoba Celebrates Mexican Independence Day with

Music From Este Vato and Peligrosa All-Stars

September 15th, 2012

(Austin, Texas) — Takoba Restaurant & Cantina is excited to celebrate Mexico’s 212th year of independence with Fiesta de la Independencia, a night of music, dancing and of course, mezcal.

Starting at 5pm on Saturday, guests will enjoy live music outside from Austin’s own Este Vato and Son Y No Son, followed by none other than the dance party instigators from Peligrosa All-Stars to close out the night in the Cantina.

Takoba has teamed up with mezcal artisans Ilegal and Wahaka, where each will have a special drink featured that evening for a discounted price. Also participating in the event is Cerveza Indio. New to the states but long-since iconic in Mexico, Indio bottles will also be on special throughout the evening.

“The night of the 15th was always such a fun night for me in Mexico, so I hope to bring back some of that spirit when we celebrate it here at Takoba,” says ower Jose DeLoera.

The live celebration in Mexico City’s Zocalo will be projected as the party goes on.

The Crew will also be rotating in between Takoba and Volstead Lounge!
