We were definitely excited to get this in our box today from the VOODOO REBEL CREW . This EP from Bologna Italy’s Frank Lucano is pure dancefloor heat! It contains a newly remastered version of the original, plus 4 remixes by SAUR, MILANGELES (100% Presi Bene), Ckrono & Slesh and Arge Numa Crew; who each explore and expand the main “Mi Sombrero” sample creating a diverse collection interpretations.
“Mi Sombrero” follows the “The Baila” EP and it’s the fourth official release by Frank Lucano. The original version of “Mi Sombrero” was made in early 2011 and became an immediate summer classic, thus prompting a full EP with remixes.
SAUR’s version levels up the original with a 140bpm Tropical Bass joint. MILANGELES transforms the track into a classic moombahton banger with heavy bass to boot, while Ckrono & Slesh re-rub the tune into a cumbia-trap song (145 bpm), blending some kuduro business too. Arge Numa Crew finish out the EP and give us a massive Kuduro bomb.
